Natural Bohemian

Spread your wings, feel the ocean breeze...
if you wonder where dreams lay, search in your heart...
It's good to keep your feet on the ground, as long as it is to dance...

Let the wind play with your hair while you fall sleep on the sand...
make the sunset and the moon your best friends.

Today, breathe deeply...stay calm...embrace the moment...
Dream, wish, hope and most of all, love.

Taylor Swift goes Boho

Vogue Magazine February 2012
Photographed by Mario Testino

I love the 70's Boho style with a rocker chic twist! It definitely looks great on Taylor Swift.
Do you prefer this Boho style on her or the usual look, more romantic & sweet?
Thoughts?

Golden Globes 2012: Top 10 Dresses on the Red Carpet

1. Angelina Jolie wearing Atelier Versace.
Love the silhouette and the color. Red + nude look so chic together.
I also love the fact that she didn't wear almost any jewelry which makes the dress stand out even more.
The hair was perfect! It shows off her beautiful features.

2. Sofia Vergara wearing a Vera Wang dress.
This dress is a work of art. The texture is amazingly beautiful as well as the silhouette.
I love everything about it except the color, but it's just a personal taste. What do you think?

3. Shailene Woodley hits the red carpet in Marchesa.
I love this dress! I know the color may be a little too soft for her skin color,
but I still think it goes perfectly with her hair and eyes.
I just love the ethereal feel of this dress and the silhouette.

4. Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji
Talking about a soft color palette, here we have a beautiful lady wearing the perfect color & silhouette.
I adore the way the dress drapes on her body. She accessorized the whole look nicely.

5. Nicole Kidman in Versace
I couldn't help but looking at this dress over and over again and the more I look at it the more I love it!
The pattern created with those beautiful beads is really inspiring.
This dress is definitely all about details & perfect fit.

6. Jessica Alba in Gucci
Jessica Alba always looks impeccable on the Red Carpet. This dress is so elegant and beautiful.
I love how she kept the hair & makeup simple and pretty.

7. Emma Stone in Lanvin
It was a breath of fresh air on the Red Carpet. Love the beautiful color and fabric.
I like the belt a lot. I think it added personality to the entire look.

8. Salma Hayek in Gucci
Another breath of fresh air on the Red Carpet. She looks modern, sophisticated & sexy.
I don't know you, but I think Salma looks even hotter with the years, I don't know how she does it!

9. Viola Davis in Emilio Pucci
I find this dress super chic yet sexy. The color choice couldn't be better, and the silhouette
is just perfect. Gorgeous hair & makeup!

10. Diane Agron in Giles
This dress is a work of art. Very different from what
I've seen before on the Red Carpet, yet beautifully made and sophisticated.
The hair & make up couldn't be a better complement for this unique dress.
Love it.

So which ones were your favorites? I'd love to read your comments.

Old San Juan: Puerto Rico's Bohemian paradise

An entire weekend is not enough time to explore this charming and soulful city in Puerto Rico named Old San Juan. From the narrow streets full of adoquines (cobble stones) to the beautiful wooden balconies, the Old San Juan is a must see. There's a famous song inspired by this amazing city, the name of the song is: En mi Viejo San Juan and the author's name is Noel Estrada.
I was lucky enough to travel to Puerto Rico during the Holidays and I couldn't be happier! I know Puerto Rico quite well since I lived there for about two years. I spent so many weekends looking at the sunset at El Paseo de la Princesa and shopping at the little boutiques in the area and also buying handmade pottery from the artisans. I've also sold some of my creations there during Noches de Galeria (Art Gallery nights at Old San Juan). I have so many fond memories of Puerto Rico than a single post is not enough to describe them. However, I wanted to share with you this small yet beautiful part of Puerto Rico through pictures. If you're a boho girl/boy at heart, you'll love the Old San Juan for sure. If you're planning to go to Puerto Rico, please visit the old San Juan especially during the weekends since there's always music, artisans, and nice things going on. And last but not least, don't forget to try a Piragua (Puerto Rican shaved ice dessert covered with syrup) from your local Piragüero at the Old San Juan :-)

My outfit of the day at the old San Juan

I'm seriously in love with the beautiful top I was wearing that day! I wear it all the time because it's so pretty and versatile. I can totally wear this lovely sheer top during Summer and even Fall with a long sleeved top inside or a cute cardigan/jacket over. I've received many compliments in Puerto Rico and of course such a detailed and pretty slip has to be from Free People. It's not a secret that I love the store so I bought some presents from Free People during Holidays as well. By the way, Free People has such a cute selection of tunics especially long tunics that I'm loving right now. Thanks for the sweet comments on the previous post and hope you enjoy the pictures!

Besos.
