Look of the day: Color Blocking

One of the fashion trends I like the most is Color Blocking. I like to mix and match unusual colors and prints in a fun but sophisticated way. The look above has two of my favorite colors: bright pink and turquoise. For this look I didn't go for the traditional color blocking with clothing instead I decided to do it with clothes and accessories (shoes + top). You can also recreate the color blocking trend using only accessories which is an easier way to add some fun to your everyday look. What do you think?

Una de las tendencias que mas me gustan es la del Color Blocking. Me encanta combinar colores inusuales y estampados de una manera sofisticada pero divertida. El look de arriba tiene dos de mis colores favoritos: Rosa fuerte y el turquesa. Para este look no escogí el color blocking tradicional con piezas de ropa si no que utilicé la blusa y los zapatos. También puedes recrear la tendencia del color blocking usando solamente accesorios, lo cual es mucho mas fácil y ademas podrás darle ese toque divertido a tu look diario. Que les pareció? Sweet Romance

Besides loving the Boho chic style, I must confess that I have a weakness for romantic pieces that have a vintage flair. I love the skirt above not only for the pop of color, but also for its shape. I think that skirt has a very flattering silhouette that looks great on everyone. The top is very simple, just a white little lace top that you can wear with pretty much anything. A pair of booties to add a sexy touch to the outfit, a lovely vintage inspired necklace & bag to complete the look.

Ademas de gustarme tanto el estilo Boho chic, debo confesar que también tengo debilidad con las prendas con aire romántico y vintage. Me encanta la falda que presento arriba, no solo por el lindo color que resalta, pero también por su forma. Pienso que esta falda tiene una silueta que favorece a cualquier tipo de cuerpo. La blusa de encaje es bastante sencilla pero que se puede usar con cualquier prenda. Un par de botines de taco alto para darle ese toque sexy y una linda cartera tipo sobre con lazo y el collar de inspiración vintage para completar el look.

Ethnic Accents: I also love the ethnic-chic style! This outfit is perfect for any event.

The dress has a unique print that gives you the chance to play with different colors.

The secret: Pick the color(s) that you like from the print you see on the dress and find accessories

that go with those colors. In this case, I picked an earthy/nude color palette for the accessories

because the print of the dress is bold enough to keep adding more bright colors to the outfit.

I like the way it looks with the nude pumps.

Ethnic accents: También me encanta el estilo étnico-chic! Este outfit es perfecto para cualquier evento.

Este vestido tiene un print único que te da la opción de jugar con diferentes colores.

El Secreto: Elige el color o colores que mas te gusten del estampado de tu vestido y encuentra

accesorios que combinen con esos colores. En este caso escogí accesorios de colores nude y tierra ya que

el estampado del vestido ya tiene suficientes colores como para seguir agregando mas colores fuertes.

Me encanta como se ve con las plataformas en color nude.
