Fall Winter - Layering Love!

Fall / Winter can be fun and fashionable, so here are 3 different styles for the glamorous girl you are! 

Look 1

The first one above is composed by a soft color palette, perfect for those winter days when you want to feel comfortable, but still cute and of course showing off your bohemian spirit. The colors and textures of this look makes you want to go out and have a cup of chai tea latte while reading some magazines at the closest library or maybe an afternoon date with your love at that french bakery you guys love. Oh, hello fabulous! Want to look sleek with some whimsical touches here and there? Yes, that's possible. If you know how to play with accessories anything is possible (Check out set 3 above). If you prefer a classic color palette like black, white, and gray, you can always add some flavor with your accessories. Wear an interesting hat, a pop of color in your bag or super cute shoes and you can make your classic outfit shine! Don't forget that a beautiful classic coat with the right fit is a must have for every girl. 

Happiness is...

All the things you see above are rather simple yet they have the power to make me smile or to change my day just by looking at them. "Never underestimate the power of simplicity" someone told me one day and that's so true. We sometimes think that we need big things to be happy, but experience has taught me that a beautiful song, the smell of fresh flowers, a postcard in the mailbox, or a smile can totally make your day. So if that feeling of happiness comes to you, please hold on to it with all your heart. Collect happy moments as if they were your most treasured possessions.  

So today, I invite you to go and buy a scoop of ice cream, write down that quote that you read whenever you feel down and keep it somewhere close to you. Go and pick some flowers, colorful flowers that you can look at and smile. I think flowers and animals are a lovely reminder that life is like a painting full of colors, shapes, and beautiful uneven edges we can't ignore.

Todas las cosas que ves en las fotos son bastante simples, pero en algunas personas puede que tengan el efecto de generar una sonrisa o un momento de felicidad solo con mirarlas.

"Nunca subestimes el poder de la simplicidad" me dijo alguien por ahí un día y no hay nada mas cierto. A veces podemos pensar que necesitamos cosas grandes o costosas para poder ser felices, pero la experiencia me ha enseñado todo lo contrario. A veces una canción que te transporta, el olor de las flores frescas, una postal recibida de manera inesperada, una sonrisa, un abrazo, etc. pueden cambiar tu día completamente y en un instante. Cuando ese momento de felicidad llegue a ti, aprovéchalo y trata de aferrarte a el para que te dure por lo menos todo el día.  Colecciona momentos felices, así como si fueran tus mas grandes tesoros. Por eso hoy te invito a ir a comprar un helado, imprimir o copiar en un papel aquella frase que siempre lees cuando te sientes decaída y guárdala cerca a ti para mirarla en todo momento. Ve y recoge algunas flores coloridas y ponlas cerca, donde puedas oler su perfume y mirarlas. Pienso que los animales y las flores nos recuerdan que la vida es como una pintura llena de colores, formas y hermosos bordes desiguales cuya presencia no podemos ignorar.

DIY: Vintage Tin Can

I love to collect cute cans, especially if they're vintage. I have few of them at home, but there was one that really needed a little makeover. I needed a place to storage some of my brushes so I thought it would be a good idea to use that can. I had all the materials so it was quick and super easy.

It took me only few minutes to "dress" this can and give it a new vintage look :)

Me encanta coleccionar latas que sean lindas, especialmente si son vintage. Tengo unas pocas en casa, pero había una que realmente necesitaba que le cambiara un poquito la apariencia. Necesitaba un lugar donde guardar mis brochas, así que pensé que la lata era perfecta para eso. Tenia todos los materiales en casa así que fue super fácil y rápido hacerlo.

Solo me tomo unos minutos "vestir" mi nueva lata con un look vintage :)

Materials: Can, floral fabric, lace trim, white paper (to cover the can - 1st layer), glue,

scissors, fabric glue (for better results use hot glue).

You can even use the new can as a flower pot! I love that idea too.

Materiales: Lata, tela floreada, encaje, papel blanco (para cubrir la lata primero), goma (pega), goma para tela (La goma caliente da mejores resultados).

También puedes usar esta lata como macetero o florero, también me encanta esa idea.
