The beauty of a dream lies mainly in the process, the process of reaching that dream. 

Treasure this process and enjoy it as long as you can, for this process will teach you so many things about yourself that you may have never imagined. The process is everything because it makes you realize that you're living your dream way before you reach your ultimate goal. Make it count.  

La belleza de un sueño radica principalmente en el proceso, el proceso de alcanzar ese sueño.

Atesora este proceso y disfrútalo mientras puedas, porque este te enseñará muchas cosas sobre ti que quizás ni tu mismo sabías o imaginabas. El proceso lo es todo porque te hace darte cuenta de que estás viviendo tu sueño mucho antes de alcanzar tu meta final. Así que haz que valga la pena. 

I describe dreams as lovely little creatures that wake you up every morning with a smile. 

No matter how big or how small is that dream of yours, never let it go. Dreams will bring out the best in you, they'll make you smile in difficult moments and they will change your mood every time you picture them in your mind.  A true dreamer never gives up on a dream even if the rest of the world has done it. 

Yo describo a los sueños como unas criaturas hermosas que te despiertan por la mañana con una sonrisa. No importa cuan grande o cuan pequeño sea ese sueño o meta trazada, nunca la dejes ir. Los sueños sacarán siempre lo mejor de ti, te harán sonreír aún en momentos difíciles y cambiarán tu estado de ánimo cada vez que los imagines en tu mente. Un verdadero soñador nunca renuncia a un sueño aún si el resto del mundo ya lo ha hecho. 

Don't let anything or anyone take it away from you, not even yourself. Protect the flower of your dream, but sometimes allow the rain to make it prettier. 

No permitas que nada ni nadie te quite los sueños, ni siquiera tu mismo. Protege la flor de tu sueño, pero de vez en cuando, deja que la lluvia la vuelva más hermosa.

Carey Mulligan Inspiration

I just felt in love with Carey Mulligan's photo shoot for Interview Magazine. I'm a fan of her style and I love her short hair! I think that haircut looks perfect on her. Carey is a natural talent, and if you guys have seen her in the film "An Education", you know what I'm talking about, she did a great performance. So I decided to sketch Carey Mulligan adding my personal touch :) I added some color using watercolors. I drew her with charcoal pencil. Hope you like it.

Simplemente me enamoré del photo shoot de Carey Mulligan para la revista Interview. Amo su estilo y me encanta su cabello corto! Pienso que le queda perfecto. Carey tiene un talento natural, si han visto la película "An Education" saben de lo que estoy hablando, hizo una actuación impecable. Así que decidí hacer un sketch de Carey Mulligan agregando mi toque personal :) Le agregué algo de color a mi ilustración usando acuarelas. La dibuje con lapiz carboncillo. Que les pareció? Espero que les guste!

Fall Winter - Layering Love!

Fall / Winter can be fun and fashionable, so here are 3 different styles for the glamorous girl you are! 

Look 1

The first one above is composed by a soft color palette, perfect for those winter days when you want to feel comfortable, but still cute and of course showing off your bohemian spirit. The colors and textures of this look makes you want to go out and have a cup of chai tea latte while reading some magazines at the closest library or maybe an afternoon date with your love at that french bakery you guys love. There are so many possibilities!.

Oh, hello fabulous! Want to look sleek with some whimsical touches here and there? Yes, that's possible. If you know how to play with accessories anything is possible (Check out set 3 above). If you prefer a classic color palette like black, white, and gray, you can always add some flavor with your accessories. Wear an interesting hat, a pop of color in your bag or super cute shoes and you can make your classic outfit shine! Don't forget that a beautiful classic coat with the right fit is a must have for every girl. 

Happiness is...

All the things you see above are rather simple yet they have the power to make me smile or to change my day just by looking at them. "Never underestimate the power of simplicity" someone told me one day and that's so true. We sometimes think that we need big things to be happy, but experience has taught me that a beautiful song, the smell of fresh flowers, a postcard in the mailbox, or a smile can totally make your day. So if that feeling of happiness comes to you, please hold on to it with all your heart. Collect happy moments as if they were your most treasured possessions.  

So today, I invite you to go and buy a scoop of ice cream, write down that quote that you read whenever you feel down and keep it somewhere close to you. Go and pick some flowers, colorful flowers that you can look at and smile. I think flowers and animals are a lovely reminder that life is like a painting full of colors, shapes, and beautiful uneven edges we can't ignore.

Todas las cosas que ves en las fotos son bastante simples, pero en algunas personas puede que tengan el efecto de generar una sonrisa o un momento de felicidad solo con mirarlas.

"Nunca subestimes el poder de la simplicidad" me dijo alguien por ahí un día y no hay nada mas cierto. A veces podemos pensar que necesitamos cosas grandes o costosas para poder ser felices, pero la experiencia me ha enseñado todo lo contrario. A veces una canción que te transporta, el olor de las flores frescas, una postal recibida de manera inesperada, una sonrisa, un abrazo, etc. pueden cambiar tu día completamente y en un instante. Cuando ese momento de felicidad llegue a ti, aprovéchalo y trata de aferrarte a el para que te dure por lo menos todo el día.  Colecciona momentos felices, así como si fueran tus mas grandes tesoros. Por eso hoy te invito a ir a comprar un helado, imprimir o copiar en un papel aquella frase que siempre lees cuando te sientes decaída y guárdala cerca a ti para mirarla en todo momento. Ve y recoge algunas flores coloridas y ponlas cerca, donde puedas oler su perfume y mirarlas. Pienso que los animales y las flores nos recuerdan que la vida es como una pintura llena de colores, formas y hermosos bordes desiguales cuya presencia no podemos ignorar. 

Te deseo una semana llena de detalles simples que te hagan sonreír. Feliz Lunes! 

DIY: Vintage Tin Can

I love to collect cute cans, especially if they're vintage. I have few of them at home, but there was one that really needed a little makeover. I needed a place to storage some of my brushes so I thought it would be a good idea to use that can. I had all the materials so it was quick and super easy.

It took me only few minutes to "dress" this can and give it a new vintage look :)

Me encanta coleccionar latas que sean lindas, especialmente si son vintage. Tengo unas pocas en casa, pero había una que realmente necesitaba que le cambiara un poquito la apariencia. Necesitaba un lugar donde guardar mis brochas, así que pensé que la lata era perfecta para eso. Tenia todos los materiales en casa así que fue super fácil y rápido hacerlo.

Solo me tomo unos minutos "vestir" mi nueva lata con un look vintage :)

Abajo pueden ver los pasos y los materiales.

Materials: Can, floral fabric, lace trim, white paper (to cover the can - 1st layer), glue,

scissors, fabric glue (for better results use hot glue).

You can even use the new can as a flower pot! I love that idea too.

Materiales: Lata, tela floreada, encaje, papel blanco (para cubrir la lata primero), goma (pega), goma para tela (La goma caliente da mejores resultados).

También puedes usar esta lata como macetero o florero, también me encanta esa idea.

I love being surrounded by colorful textiles, beautiful details and eclectic furniture, especially while I'm working on creative projects. Even at home, in my little office space, I always try to keep it colorful, stylish and inspiring.

Some time ago I shared with you a post about Boho Chic Decor Ideas for bedrooms and now I wanted to do a special post with inspiring ideas for boho chic living rooms. Me encanta estar rodeada de textiles coloridos, detalles lindos y muebles eclécticos, especialmente cuando estoy trabajando en proyectos creativos. Aun cuando estoy en casa, en mi pequeña oficina, siempre trato de mantener mi entorno colorido, con estilo y sobre todo inspirador. Hace un tiempo atrás hice un post de decoración de estilo Boho chic para dormitorios, ahora quería compartir con ustedes este post de este estilo que me encanta pero esta vez para la sala principal. There so many things that inspire me, one of them is definitely creative people that not only dare to follow their dreams but also spread a message that inspire others to do the same. At the end of the day, it's all about sharing your gift with the world and support each other. That's how I became very fond of this beautiful company, Tiny Devotions, which I don't even want to call them only a company, but a group of wonderful souls creating inspiring pieces for the free spirited people out there. Tiny Devotions gathers a group of bohemian & yogi fashionistas who love Mala Beads, sacred pieces that inspire their wearers to live a more inspired, peaceful, and intention based lives. I love to wear my beautiful mala beads necklace on a daily basis; the one I'm wearing on the photos below is the "Equilibrium Mala" which is all about balance in your life and finding your centre. I love this necklace not only because for its meaning, but also for the beautiful color that goes great with any outfit. 

Hay muchas cosas que me inspiran, una de ellas es definitivamente, la gente creativa, que no solo se atreven a perseguir sus sueños, si no que también llevan un mensaje que inspiran a otros a hacer lo mismo. Al final del día se trata de compartir tu talento con el mundo y apoyarse mutuamente. Meditation time

Ever since I started meditating, even if it's for only five or ten minutes each day, I feel more inspired, peaceful and happy. In this fast and stressful world, it's important to take sometime during the day to calm down the mind and fill your soul with positive energy in order to continue with your journey in a more balanced way. While I meditate, I feel that I have a peaceful space where I can also say my intention for the day. Having an intention keeps you grounded and gives you a sense of direction especially if you are trying to accomplish your dreams. Every dream begins with an intention. 

Desde que comencé a meditar, aunque sea por solo cinco o diez minutos al día, me siento mas inspirada, mas feliz y con mucha mas paz. En este mundo que va tan rápido y muchas veces lleno de estrés, es muy importante calmar la mente y llenar tu espíritu de energía positiva para así poder continuar con tu día a día de una manera mas balanceada. Mientras medito, siento que tengo un espacio para mi en el cual puedo decir mis buenas intenciones para el dia. Tener una intención te mantiene centrado y te da una sensación de dirección y rumbo especialmente si estas tratando de alcanzar tus sueños. No hay que olvidar que cada sueño comienza con una intención.
