A sunny and beautiful Sunday morning, perfect for a flea market adventure! This time it wasn't just a regular flea market...this was the biggest one I've seen in Los Angeles. At the Rose Bowl flea market you can pretty much find everything, from collectible comic books and toys to vintage furniture. I had such a fun time finding the most unique things I've ever seen, it's like a trip to the past because you find things that you can't find at the stores anymore, things like toys you probably had when you were a kid.
The Rose Bowl flea market is a nice place to spend your Sunday so if you're in the LA area I highly recommend it. Here are some tips that may help you to plan your visit:
1. The Rose Bowl Flea market opens only the second Sunday of each month from 9am - 3pm.
2. It's important to get there early and bring cash (There's an ATM machine near the entrance, but it's better to bring cash so you can avoid the line).
General admission after 9 a.m is $8.00 per person. Children under 12 are free with a paying adult.
Early Admission Fees:
Express Admission between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. for $10 per person.
Early Admission between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. for $15 per person.
VIP Admission between 5 a.m. and 7 a.m. for $20 per person.
3. Wear comfy clothes and shoes because you'll walk a lot. When I got there I was wearing heels (very comfortable ones though) but after walking for an hour my feet felt tired, thank God I brought a pair of flat sandals to keep walking for three more hours.
4. Try to park as close as you can to the flea market, especially if you're buying furniture.
5. Wear sunblock during Summer time because it can get really hot and don't forget to bring lots of water, trust me you'll get very thirsty.
If you get there early you can see most of the flea market, I definitely have to go back because I couldn't see some of the areas I wanted. Here are some pictures I took. I hope you get the feel of my day at the Flea Market, I really enjoyed it! xoxo
