How did you like the Golden Globes? It was a nice surprise to see Alexa Chung (Blogophere's style icon) presenting & interviewing people on the Red Carpet. I've seen the Red Carpet twice before choosing my top 9 dresses of the night. Emerald green was definitely the color of the night. Sequins and beautiful embellishments were also the main trend on the Red Carpet. Ok so here are my favorites of the night!

Scarlett Johansson
1. Scarlett Johansson in Elie Saab (as seen on my previous post Here). I was waiting to see at least one Elie Saab piece at the Golden Globes and all of a sudden Scarlet Johansson arrives to the Red Carpet almost like a vision. She looked absolutely amazing! I love the color of this dress, the ethereal feel of this gown as well as the adorable styling. A dream come true!
Anne Hathaway
2. Anne Hathaway in Giorgio Armani Prive. This beautiful and unexpected color made my night! It was very refreshing to see such a beautiful amber tone on the Red Carpet. Anne looked simply gorgeous! I also love her hair, it looked very modern, the entire look was sophisticated and young at the same time.
Leighton Meester
3. Leighton Meester in Burberry Prorsum Pre-Fall 2011. I love everything about this gown, it's very sophisticated and feminine. Although I'm not a big fan of long sleeved evening gowns on the Red Carpet (unless they're made out of lace, organza or any other sheer fabric), I really like this dress. The fabric is simply beautiful and also the side slit is a very sexy detail that complements the long sleeves. Leigton's hairdo is also gorgeous, she looks simply fabulous!
Angelina Jolie
4. Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace. This emerald green shade made her beautiful eyes pop!. She looked gorgeous in this stunning dress encrusted with Swarovski crystals. Her makeup in nude tones was simply flawless.
Amy Adams
5. Amy Adams in Marchesa. Another dream come true! This time Amy Adams chose this gorgeous number and she looked amazing! That's what I call "A dream dress"! I also loved the natural feel of her makeup and hair.
Catherine Zeta Jones
6. Emerald Green was the color of the night indeed!. Catherine Zeta Jones looking stunning in this Monique Lhuillier number. I adored the texture of this gown, absolutely beautiful.
Megan Fox
7. Megan Fox in a Giorgio Armany Privé. I'm not a big fan of pink in general, but this pale lovely number was the perfect shade of pink, I loved it! Megan Fox looked super sexy in this beautiful design, her shoes (by Brian Atwood) were my favorites of the night!
Me encanto.
Diana Agron
8. Diana Agron in J. Mendel. Diana definitely looked like a princess in this gorgeous number. This was an impeccable Red Carpet look from head to toe. The overall styling was so pretty as well and the jewelry which complements the entire gown beautifully.
Natalie Portman
9. Natalie Portman in Viktor & Rolph. This was one of the most talked-about dresses of the Red Carpet. Either you love it or hate it. I personally like this dress just because it's beautifully draped and the silhouette embraces Natalie's lovely mom-to-be figure. The only part of the dress that I don't like much is the way the red rose was placed in the dress, I think it's an interesting detail, but I'd have kept only the center of the rose without the rest (leaves, etc.), but that's just me. Natalie looked absolutely adorable! It's not a secret that I admire her a lot as an actress, I've seen almost all her movies and I do believe she's the most talented actress of her generation. I really hope she wins the Oscar this year, she really deserves it.
I'd love to hear your thoughts! Which one was your favorite?

ReplyDeleteHi dear! I just love red carpet fashion. My favorites were Claire Danes and Emma Stone, but I love all the soft neutrals and pinks worn....gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLoved Scarlett Johannsen's dress, but not so much the hair. AND Helena Bonham Carter's outfit was definitely my favorite.
ReplyDeleteIt's so hard to choose my very favorite; I'd say it's a tie between Anne Hathaway and Angelina. Both have this vintage feel of glamour.
ReplyDeleteMy top favs were Natalie Portman's, Mila Kunis, Diana Argon, Sarah Hyland and Catherine Zeta Jones gowns.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly enough, I wasn't a fan of Angelina Jolie's and Ann hathaway's gowns.;)

Amy Adams looks gorgeous! I adore her dress.
ReplyDeleteAnne is so beautiful in that dress!
ReplyDeleteI love Natalie Portman too, but i am one of those that weren't too crazy about the dress. I loved the way it draped her body but something about that rose just cheapened it. Had it maybe have been smaller? or placed elsewhere? The nail might have been hit on the head. I loved Angie's emerald dress!
ReplyDeleteI really loved Leighton's dress! She is so stunning in it!

I love ScarJo's old hollywood look, but I think I'd wear Amy Adams' one shoulder number.
ReplyDeleteScarlet was one of my favorites as well! I just adored how ethereal it felt. Emma Stone's look was on the other end of the style spectrum, but it was my second favorite. Now I'm impatient for the Oscars!
