Trends I'm Loving For Fall 2010

Fall is one of my favorite Seasons, especially because I love wearing layers! Layering is not so simple, I think it's a matter of playing with the colors and textures. There are many ways to wear layers, for example you can wear lots of pieces in the same color, like black for example, but the trick of wearing layers in the same color, is playing with textures. See Balmain look below:

El Otoño es una de mis estaciones favoritas, especialmente porque me encanta ponerme varias piezas en un solo look! Eso es mas conocido como "Layering" que significa ponerse muchas cosas a la vez, blusa, chaleco, abrigo, bufanda, falda, medias, etc. El truco del layering es jugar con texturas y colores. Hay muchas maneras de crear layers, por ejemplo puedes usar varias prendas del mismo color, como negro, el truco es crear texturas interesantes. Aquí un ejemplo de layering con prendas de un solo color:

1. Layers + Neutrals

Another way to play with layers is wearing neutrals. You can't go wrong with neutrals because they all can be combined between them. Some neutral colors I love: Gray, camel, black, white, ivory, nude, etc. I'm loving Layers + Neutrals! Here you can see a little collage I created inspired by Elie Tahari Fall 2010

Otra manera de jugar con layers es usando colores neutrales. Con los colores neutrales vas a la segura porque todos combinan entre si. Algunos colores neutrales que me gustan: Gris, beige, negro, blanco, crema, etc. Esta tendencia, Neutrales + Layers es una de mis favoritas! 2. Mix Patterns

I know this may sound risky, but I think that patterns can look great together if they're combined in the right way. I think the trick here is to pick a very interesting and bold pattern and from there developing the rest of the color palette. As you can see the model below is wearing a beautiful scarf with a bold print, I love the way the oversize sweater complements the color of the scarf. The color of the accessories also complement the colors of the sweater and scarf. Hope you like my choices :)

Se que puede sonar arriesgado, pero pienso que los estampados combinados entre si pueden verse super bien si lo sabemos hacer con armonía. Aquí el truco es escoger un estampado interesante y colorido y desarrollar el resto del look en torno a esos colores. Por ejemplo la modelo del collage de abajo tiene una hermosa bufanda colorida, y está perfectamente combinada con un sweater grande que va con los colores de la bufanda. El color de los accesorios también van con los colores de la bufanda y el sweater, todos en tonos tierra. Espero que les guste las piezas que escogí :)
