NY Fashion Week Spring 2010-Opening Week

New York Fashion week is here! I was checking out the first collections and I was very impressed by them. One of my favorites so far was Nicole Miller's collection.

Nicole Miller's collection basically focused on embracing the woman's body; with a mix of clean and asymmetrical cuts, color blocking, a variety of shorts, skinny pants and sexy dresses. I also loved the way she paired the shorts with the motorcycle jackets because that gave the entire look an elegant edge. She managed to give those jackets a more refined and feminine look. I'm also in love with the dresses and the fabrics she used for them. She made me smile with the fresh color palette and the whimsical prints she used.

From my very personal point of view, this collection was perfectly styled from head to toe, the shoes were absolutely fabulous as well as the accessories.

La semana de la moda ya comenzó! Estuve mirando unas cuantas colecciones por internet y mequede bastante impresionada. Una de mis colecciones favoritas hasta ahora fue la de Nicole Miller.

Nicole Miller se enfocó basicamente en resaltar la belleza de la mujer con una mezcla de cortes y simples y asimétricos, colores sobre colores, una variedad de shorts, pantalones pitillo y vestidos super coquetos. También me gustó mucho la manera como la diseñadora combinó los shorts con los motorcycle jackets porque eso le dió un toque super moderno y elegante a todo el look. Los hombros levemente estructurados de los jackets fueron una pieza clave. Ella consiguió darle a los jackets, inspirados en los motorcycle jackets, un toque femenino y refinado. También me encantaron los vestidos! los estampados frescos y los colores me arrancaron una sonrisa de solo mirarlos. En mi opinión, los accesorios, peinados y maquillaje en esta coleccion estuvieron impecables; los zapatos me fascinaron!!
